Our exhibits are different.

Here at the Oklahoma Railway Museum, we believe history is meant to be experienced, not just looked at. Sure, you can look at artifacts from local and national railroading history. But where else are you going to get the chance to actually drive a diesel locomotive or ride on historical passenger coaches?

Come visit us today and experience history in motion.

Admission

Admission to the Museum itself is free. Donations are not required, but they are welcomed. We're open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. if you want to drop in.

If you would like to ride the trains, you will have to purchase a ticket.

Please keep in mind the Museum is mainly outdoors, so prepare accordingly for the weather.

Rides

Ever wanted to experience a classic train ride? You can. Join us every first and third Saturday of the month from April through August for a train ride with our vintage diesel locomotives and historic passenger coaches.

Our regular train rides leave the Oakwood Depot at the Museum at these times:

Ticketing Information

If you have made an error in your reservation or wish to change or cancel, please call us directly at (405) 424-8222 or by email info@oklahomarailwaymuseum.org. Cancellations and changes to existing reservations CANNOT be processed using the online system.

For the most up to date information, we encourage you to sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page and to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. In the event of delays or cancellations, we will notify passengers impacted by email notification. We look forward to your upcoming trip!

Cancellation and Change Policy: Special and Licensed Events are non-refundable. Tickets for all other trains are non-refundable if cancelled less than 2 days prior to your train departure.

Delays: While every effort is made to maintain our schedules, mechanical and/or weather conditions may cause delays. The Oklahoma Railway Museum will not be held liable for any delays, whatever the cause. Our trips run regardless of the weather unless conditions become unsafe for operations.

Seating Policy: Please check your ticket for car and seat assignments. Seat assignments are not guaranteed but we will make every effort to fulfill your request. We may need to reseat passengers due to unforeseen equipment changes or other reasons. Please be aware that the seats you requested are assigned to you for the duration of your trip and we ask that you maintain those seats and do not move into other cars. Passengers MUST BE ON BOARD AND SEATED AT LEAST 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. Boarding will begin 20 minutes prior to your train departure time.

Accessibility: We have a wheelchair lift and accessible coach on our trains. If you use a wheelchair or require lift assistance for boarding, please contact our ticket office directly for assistance when you arrive on site.
